About the role

  • Technology Account Manager growing animal-health technology sales across Alberta. Managing regional accounts, customer relationships, strategic plans, and complex commercial opportunities for a global healthcare company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned regional accounts and develop long-term relationships and sales opportunities for Animal Health Technology products and services
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Veterinary Services, Technology Solutions Support, and other commercial teams
  • Establish regular contact with decision makers and key end-user/producer influencers
  • Implement short- and long-term plans to strengthen the company’s image as a trusted business partner
  • Maximize sales and market share across assigned accounts
  • Coordinate and execute sponsorships, conferences, promotional activities, and other tasks for assigned dealer accounts and producers
  • Identify customer synergies through involvement of the Biopharmaceutical team
  • Analyze assigned accounts to generate insights affecting growth potential and dealer performance
  • Perform all tasks in compliance with the Code of Conduct, company values, policies, industry standards, laws, and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, Business Management, or a related field
  • Solid experience in marketing and/or sales of animal health products, or equivalent key-account experience including training, strategy development, and execution in relevant industries
  • Experience in the Farm Animal business and knowledge of Alberta’s feedlot, cow-calf, and dairy sectors is an asset
  • Highly effective negotiation and commercial skills for complex, large-scale sales opportunities
  • Transformational leadership skills and willingness to innovate and implement positive change
  • Proven success in account management and ability to build customer networks and relationships
  • Ability to influence at all levels and collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units
  • Ability to analyze business metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strategic and innovative marketing and business development skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • English language requirement
  • Must reside in the province of Alberta
  • Valid driving license required
  • Approximately 50% overnight travel within the territory
  • No visa sponsorship
