About the role
- Executive Underwriter managing large complex accounts with tailored insurance solutions. Collaborating with brokers and internal teams while providing underwriting guidance in technical risks.
Responsibilities
- Customize solutions for commercial clients with complex technical risks
- Underwrite and service highly complex and unique accounts
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and broker partners
- Provide guidance on risk selection, coverage structure, wordings, and underwriting position
- Assist in risk assessment and decision-making
- Focus primarily on casualty underwriting for large, complex accounts
Requirements
- 10+ years of Commercial Underwriting experience
- Experience underwriting large, technical casualty accounts
- Experience with tailoring coverage structures and non-standard exposures
- Experience with underwriting Risk Managed or loss-sensitive casualty programs
- Experience with underwriting large commercial auto/fleet is a strong asset
- Experience with underwriting layered, shared, or subscription casualty placements is an asset
- Exposure to manuscript or customized policy wordings is an asset
- Completed or pursuing CIP, FCIP designations
- Strong customer service background
