About the role
- Senior Software Engineer leading Azure, Fabric, and serverless integrations for Norton Rose Fulbright’s legal practice. Building secure, scalable cloud and data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical lead for technologies across projects and initiatives
- Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-grade cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric
- Build scalable, event-driven architectures and cloud-native applications
- Enable enterprise data integration through Azure Functions and Microsoft Fabric
- Collaborate with DevOps Engineers, Business Applications, Data Architect, Enterprise Architect, and Security Analysts teams
- Deliver and support business solutions through development and integration of new and existing systems
- Act as a technical resource for technology support and change initiatives
- Lead technical design reviews and establish solution architecture standards
- Participate in cloud architecture governance and technology roadmaps
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, reliability, and performance standards
- Design end-to-end Microsoft Fabric data solutions, including Data Factory pipelines, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Real-Time Analytics solutions
- Integrate enterprise applications and operational systems into Fabric environments
- Support data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives
- Build Azure Functions serverless applications and event-driven processing
- Implement secure API integrations and backend services
- Develop applications and APIs using C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON, and Entity Framework
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Manage SQL Agent jobs, SSIS packages, stored procedures, and views; plan large-scale migrations
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment and configuration management
- Use Infrastructure as Code methodologies and implement automated testing and deployment
- Implement security best practices, Microsoft Entra ID authentication and authorization, and compliance controls
- Support production systems and provide Level 3 application support
- Troubleshoot operational, performance, and integration issues
- Monitor application health using Azure Monitor and Application Insights
- Participate in on-call rotations when required
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
- Provide technical leadership, influence technology decisions, and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years developing cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure
- 3+ years of experience developing Azure Functions
- 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Fabric or enterprise-scale data platforms
- Experience delivering enterprise integration solutions within large organizations
