Seeking an experienced Security Specialist to conduct Threat Risk Assessments for a major public sector client in Toronto.
About the role
- Apprentice Epic Security Analyst role providing hands-on EHR support and maintenance. Collaborating with analysts and clinical teams to fulfill healthcare IT needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Epic Configuration: Support customization and configuration of Epic applications to meet organizational needs.
- Workflow Analysis: Observe and document clinical and administrative workflows to understand system requirements.
- Testing & Validation: Participate in testing new builds, upgrades, and patches to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- End-User Support: Help troubleshoot basic issues and escalate complex problems to experienced analysts.
- Training Support: Assist in creating user guides and training materials for member staff.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of system changes, workflows, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaboration: Work closely with experienced analysts and clinical teams to learn best practices in healthcare IT.
Requirements
- Completion of an OCHIN workforce training program or similar experience preferred
- Epic proficiency in must be obtained within 60-days of employment
- Interest in data analysis, problem solving and continuous learning
- Basic understanding of healthcare operations and EHR systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Strong computer literacy and willingness to learn new tools and systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
