About the role

  • Associé M&A soutenant le sourcing, l’évaluation et l’exécution d’acquisitions de sociétés de logiciels chez Partner One. Analyse des opportunités, diligence raisonnable et gestion du pipeline de transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source software companies that meet acquisition criteria and key performance indicators
  • Develop and execute targeted email outreach and outbound calling campaigns
  • Test new business development strategies and manage a high volume of transaction opportunities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with potential acquisition targets and investment banks specializing in M&A
  • Conduct preliminary evaluations, including operational and financial analyses and assessments of opportunities and risks
  • Manage and maintain a robust deal pipeline
  • Conduct industry analyses and market research
  • Review investment materials and synthesize large volumes of data into analyses, presentations, and recommendations
  • Independently advance acquisition opportunities from sourcing through execution
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks based on timelines and the strategic importance of transactions
  • Provide ad hoc analytical and operational support to the team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support data requests, due diligence, internal alignment, and transaction execution

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development required
  • Prior experience with M&A transactions in the software sector is essential
  • Excellent academic record from a leading institution
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is an asset
  • Professional maturity and comfort interacting with C-suite executives
  • Highly proactive, self-motivated, and independent, with strong sales and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership potential
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial modeling
  • Good understanding of software business models and the M&A transaction lifecycle
  • Strong analytical abilities, keen pattern-recognition skills, and advanced Excel proficiency
