About the role
- Senior Business Analyst supporting I&IT portfolio reporting, KPI management, and resource utilization for a Canadian organization. Identifying OPEX savings and translating business requirements into technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive I&IT business analysis services to support diverse business and technology needs
- Manage stakeholders and report I&IT-wide performance KPIs
- Identify IT operations cost drivers and savings levers, align with stakeholders on savings delivery, and track and report savings
- Support resource utilization tracking and management
- Elicit, analyze, and validate business requirements with business stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Contribute to business analysis policies, standards, processes, and best practices for portfolio reporting tools
- Document business requirements for rollout of industry-standard portfolio reporting tools
- Create and maintain functional and non-functional requirements and business rules
- Conduct use case, process, data flow, and data modeling
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and mockups
- Create change management and communications collateral
- Understand OPEX savings drivers and levers for hardware and software costs; identify and validate savings with Finance and asset owners
- Support hiring and onboarding of I&IT resources
- Track and report overtime and resource utilization
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report to I&IT management and stakeholders
- Develop performance measures and traceability matrices, and conduct post-implementation follow-ups
Requirements
- 5+ years of Power BI experience
- 3+ years of Power Automate experience
- Excellent knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word
- Experience developing strategies, business cases, and cost-benefit analyses
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement experience
- Experience preparing presentations and briefing notes for various audiences
- Hands-on experience developing and implementing use cases in enterprise portfolio management tools such as Asana and JIRA
- Experience developing Power BI reports and performing data analysis
- Awareness of emerging I&IT trends and technologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and teamwork skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with information retrieval systems and tools
- Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices
- Ability to translate business and data requirements into technical specifications
- Experience with business functional modeling, event modeling, and process mapping
- Experience working in structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies
- Experience developing and applying business analysis performance measures
