About the role

  • ATS business analyst coordinating accommodated exams and adaptive technology at University of Toronto. Improving testing systems, processes, and student accommodations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the back-end, technical, and business analysis needs of the Accommodated Testing Services unit
  • Analyze and document business requirements, assess needs, and contribute to business systems development
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and maintain information on digital platforms
  • Research and implement adaptive technology solutions for accommodated exams
  • Analyze existing systems and develop technical solutions for system improvements
  • Implement plans and process improvements for exam administration activities
  • Coordinate student accommodation needs and implement online and remote exam accommodations
  • Respond to complaints, resolve exam-related issues, and escalate problems as required
  • Communicate with instructors, students, and campus partners to find mutually agreeable solutions
  • Support front-line activity during peak periods
  • Draft and edit print and online communications
  • Stay informed about policies, procedures, regulations, and new technology
  • Provide orientation on work procedures and practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum four (4) years’ relevant experience in a high-volume, detail-oriented, front line service environment
  • Experience within an accommodated test and exam service required
  • Experience with academic and exam systems, including Quercus, Crowdmark, ProctorU, CIS, and ROSI
  • Experience with adaptive technology
  • Experience independently problem-solving technical issues and supporting technology needs
  • Demonstrated experience in change management
  • Experience providing orientation to others on work procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of academic accommodations, and experience working with accommodations and/or accommodated tests and exams
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel (including macros), PowerPoint, Outlook, mail merges, etc.
  • Highly skilled in oral and written communication
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, including effective negotiation, de-escalation, and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with key constituents
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve problems within the scope of the role and escalate as required
