About the role
- Intermediate Data Engineer responsible for building scalable data architecture on Azure. Leading data ingestion and integration efforts for the Digital Regulatory Assurance System.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture on Microsoft Azure
- Lead the development of data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines
- Work with the Data Architect to manage data lakes and structured storage solutions
- Integrate data from diverse source systems using APIs, connectors, and custom scripts
- Develop and maintain robust data models and semantic layers
- Build and optimize data workflows using Python and SQL
- Design secure data services and APIs
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and integrations
- Utilize AI and automation tools to streamline workflows
Requirements
- Experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
- Familiarity with data governance practices
- Understanding of cloud-native and hybrid data architecture
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., FOIP, GDPR) and role-based access controls
- Familiarity with APIs and data integration techniques.
