About the role
- Senior frontend-focused engineer building Pebl’s conversational AI assistant. Shaping streaming, agentic UX for a platform enabling global hiring and workforce management.
Responsibilities
- Design and build full-stack features for Pebl’s conversational AI assistant, with frontend/UX depth and ownership.
- Apply LLM and agentic-system experience, including prompt design, tool/function calling, multi-step agent reasoning, and evaluation.
- Shape assistant behavior and its presentation in the user interface.
- Prototype and propose new conversational and generative AI interaction patterns.
- Build and maintain frontend and backend components using TypeScript/React and clean contracts and APIs for agentic workflows.
- Lead by example in clean, maintainable code; mentor junior team members and foster continuous learning.
- Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot frontend and backend production issues, including bad model output, latency, and dropped tool calls.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, full-stack, with demonstrated strength and a clear preference for frontend/UX work.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic products.
- Experience building interfaces for AI-powered or agentic products, including conversational UIs, copilots, assistants, and generative/dynamic UI techniques.
- Solid understanding of LLM design patterns, prompt engineering, and observability/instrumentation for agentic systems.
- Strong command of modern frontend (React/TypeScript) and understanding of frontends integrating with backend services, APIs, and real-time/streaming data.
- Track record of building products beyond standard CRUD apps and dashboards, with craft, polish, or a distinctive user experience.
- Comfort working across the full stack, including backend and infrastructure.
- Lean mindset focused on customer value, minimizing waste, workflow optimization, continuous improvement, and rapid iteration.
- Excitement for evolving AI-driven UX patterns and discovering new approaches.
