About the role

  • Reliability Engineer ensuring operational efficiency in plasma-derived product manufacturing for Grifols. Responsible for maintenance planning, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update the preventive and corrective maintenance plan for production equipment and cleaning systems.
  • Determine the frequencies, methods, and resources required for each type of equipment, taking into account regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Identify critical spare parts for each piece of equipment and ensure their availability in stock.
  • Conduct reliability studies (FMEA, RCA, Pareto) to guide maintenance and investment decisions.
  • Integrate recommendations from failure analyses and internal/external audits.
  • Recommend technical modifications, replacements, or equipment improvements based on analysis results.
  • Collaborate with project teams to incorporate maintenance requirements during the design or procurement phases of new equipment.
  • Participate in the development of medium- and long-term investment plans.
  • Monitor the progress of action plans in the CMMS and ensure their execution within specified deadlines.
  • Participate in the planning of annual shutdowns and coordinate critical interventions.
  • Work closely with maintenance, production, quality, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) teams.
  • Train maintenance technicians on reliability best practices and maintenance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or process) or a related field.
  • Relevant experience (minimum 2 years) in reliability or industrial maintenance, ideally in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • Proficiency with CMMS tools and office software (MS Office).
  • Knowledge of failure and reliability analysis methodologies (FMEA, RCA).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical schematics.
  • Fluency in English and French is required.
