About the role
- Junior Data Engineer building reliable ETL pipelines and data solutions for PLATO, Canada’s Indigenous-owned technology services company. Improving data quality, accessibility, governance, and pipeline performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data solutions for data generation, collection, and processing
- Create data pipelines and ensure data quality
- Implement ETL processes to migrate and deploy data across systems
- Act as a subject matter expert
- Collaborate with and manage the team to perform effectively
- Make team decisions and engage with multiple teams
- Contribute to key decisions and provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams
- Develop innovative data solutions that enhance data accessibility and usability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and optimize data flow
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance to ensure reliability
- Implement best practices for data governance and security
Requirements
- Beginner proficiency in ETL Development is required
- Beginner proficiency in ETL Pipelines is recommended
- Experience implementing ETL processes
- Experience developing data pipelines
- Ability to ensure data quality
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and multiple teams
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
