About the role

  • Senior Research Scientist conducting systematic reviews and indirect treatment comparisons for Precision AQ’s health technology assessment projects. Developing technical deliverables, managing client communications, and mentoring junior researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across a broad portfolio of sophisticated evidence synthesis projects in a multi-level team structure
  • Develop client-ready deliverables, including study protocols, statistical analysis plans, technical reports, and slides
  • Handle day-to-day client communications
  • Delegate and oversee tasks completed by junior researchers
  • Complete complex job responsibilities independently
  • Provide mentorship and direction to others in delivering project work
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in pharmaceutical industry, medical affairs, and health technology assessment requirements
  • Oversee systematic literature reviews and/or quantitative evidence synthesis studies
  • Identify evidence synthesis considerations and communicate them in deliverables
  • Contribute to short-term resourcing discussions
  • Manage project components and collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality outputs
  • Help ensure timely delivery and financial performance of projects or project subcomponents
  • Estimate required hours, identify challenges early, and communicate changes and viable solutions to project leads
  • Review update slides, minutes, and actions for studies
  • Lead client calls and respond to emails
  • Create development plans and mentor direct reports
  • Contribute to proposals and presentations
  • Participate in new business meetings, including concept ideation

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a subject related to health services research, such as health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or science
  • 4–6 years’ professional experience
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, medical affairs, and health technology assessment requirements
  • Understanding of methods for systematic literature reviews and/or quantitative evidence synthesis studies
  • Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EndNote
  • Proficiency in R/R Shiny advantageous
