Responsibilities
Attract, nurture, and grow relationships with high-value personal and small business clients
Provide proactive, professional advice and collaborate with RBC partners to support clients' goals and key life events
Address everyday banking, investments, credit, and complex personal and business needs
Demonstrate empathy and understand client circumstances, motivators, and concerns
Uncover client needs, deliver client-centric advice and solutions, and resolve concerns at first point of contact
Use RBC advice capabilities and partners to meet clients' personal and business financial needs
Provide professional advice and education on complex credit and investments
Educate clients on digital self-service and encourage interaction through their preferred channel
Connect with clients virtually and face to face using technology
Implement contact and relationship-building strategies to accelerate client acquisition and retention in the local community
Collaborate with financial planning, retirement planning, mortgage, and business banking professionals
Requirements
Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I)
2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments
Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
Digital literacy across smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other devices
Fully available to work during RBC's retail branch hours, including extended hours Monday through Saturday until 8:00 PM and Sunday as applicable
Second language skill is nice-to-have
Active in developing a solid network in the local community is nice-to-have
