Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate refractory product trials and evaluations at customer facilities
- Partner with customers and commercial teams to optimize refractory performance and troubleshoot challenges
- Deliver technical training programs for sales teams and customers
- Collaborate with R&D on product development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Recommend refractory materials and lining designs based on customer requirements
- Support Operations, product transfer initiatives, and sustainability goals
- Travel extensively throughout Canada to support customers and projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
- Advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in refractories, ironmaking, or related steel industry applications
- Strong understanding of refractory technologies and steelmaking processes
- Ability to work safely in heavy industrial environments and follow OSHA requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and field support experience
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills
- SAP experience is a plus
