Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence Specialist plays a critical role in advancing data-informed decision-making within the agency through the development and delivery of data and analytics tools.
This role is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high quality dashboards, managing and analyzing complex datasets and applying advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, forecast demand and support strategic and operational improvement initiatives.
Lead and coordinate 2 to 3 small/medium scale projects concurrently, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within scope.
Engage internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and facilitate Working Groups and project meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Analytics or a related field; Master’s degree is considered an asset.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analytics or related role, ideally in a mental health, healthcare or non-profit environment.
Familiarity with healthcare or mental health service data/indicators is an asset.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency in MS Power BI, SQL, R and Python.
Current (within three months) criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search.
