About the role
- Senior Engineer overseeing construction management for natural gas transmission infrastructure. Applying engineering services for safe construction and maintenance of pipelines, compression, storage and associated facilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, support and improve construction QA/QC practices
- Conduct independent audits of internal and external fabrication and pipeline welding
- Provide technical support and recommendations by applying engineering principles
- Support the development and optimization of corporate design standards
- Evaluate, develop, recommend and implement new welding technology, products, procedures, processes and specifications
- Maintain an awareness of industry developments and best practices
- Provide mentorship to department team members in the execution of safe construction activities
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial preferred, others may be considered)
- Professional Engineer Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan
- Eight (8) years of progressive engineering experience related to the construction of pipeline and compression facilities in the oil and gas industry
- A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered
- Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships
- Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning
- A Class 5 Driver’s License is required
- CWB Inspector Level 2 is preferred
