About the role

  • Coordinator managing bilingual insurance applications and ensuring data is complete and accurate for Securian Canada. Engaging with clients and ensuring effective information management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry and verification for insurance applications
  • Make outbound phone calls and written communications (emails and letters) to applicants and financial institutions to obtain missing documents or information ("incomplete files")
  • Contact clients to schedule telephone underwriting interviews
  • Manage these interactions to provide accurate and helpful information while delivering high-quality customer service
  • Monitor, update, and produce reports related to data
  • Add additional requirements and follow up with clients, external partners, and other departments within banks or financial institutions
  • Conduct information research and ensure relevant data is transmitted to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Perform any other required administrative tasks

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in data entry and customer service required
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate with clients in different regions
  • Post-secondary education is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong typing skills and good proficiency with computer tools (Windows, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to fluctuations in workload
  • Enthusiastic attitude and proactive mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • General knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
  • Previous experience in an office environment or in telephone-based work is an asset
