About the role
- Learning Specialist designing and delivering corporate training for SinaLite, a Canadian wholesale printer and custom packaging provider. Managing LMS programs and measuring employee learning effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Partner with HR and department leaders to identify organizational and individual training and development needs
- Develop and maintain learning plans aligned with business priorities and employee development needs
- Design instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning programs, including workshops, videos, quizzes, simulations, job aids, and other learning resources
- Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to create practical and engaging training experiences
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for employees across the organization
- Partner with subject matter experts to translate technical or complex information into clear, effective learning content
- Support managers with on-the-job training, coaching, and employee development initiatives
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including course administration, user management, reporting, and learner progress
- Measure training effectiveness using assessments, employee feedback, surveys, and performance metrics
- Continuously review and improve training programs based on results, feedback, and changing business needs
- Support organizational changes and new initiatives by developing training and resources that help employees successfully adopt new processes
- Stay current on emerging learning technologies, tools, and best practices and recommend opportunities to improve how learning is delivered
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, corporate training, or a related field
- Proven experience designing and delivering learning programs in a corporate environment
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies
- Experience developing eLearning content and working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex or technical information into clear, engaging learning experiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess training needs and measure learning effectiveness
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities independently
