About the role

Transportation Engineering Intern contributing to roadway, transit, rail, and bridge projects at Stantec. Gaining hands-on experience while supporting design and engineering tasks within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

With guidance, perform geometric design and 3D modeling
Support development of design plans and assist with preparation of technical specifications and quantity estimates as required
Assist with the preparation of engineering reports and technical studies, including basic calculations
Coordinate with other disciplines including structural, geotechnical, stormwater and streetlighting to ensure interdisciplinary design integration
Additional duties may include assisting with project coordination, field work and proposal preparation

Self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a team environment
Basic understanding of general civil design concepts in relevant areas
Basic understanding of software such as AutoCAD or Synchro would be considered an asset
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
Team player with a positive attitude
Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters Engineering program
