About the role

  • Financial Services Consultant advising Sun Life clients on investments, retirement planning, and wealth management. Building relationships while achieving service and sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively call existing Sun Life clients with Group Retirement Savings plans to establish relationships
  • Educate members on investments, assist with product enrolment and asset consolidation
  • Provide investment advice related to clients’ financial needs, including savings and retirement income
  • Use financial planning tools to help clients become retirement ready and maintain updated plans
  • Review portfolio investments, product options, and savings goals
  • Assist with asset consolidation
  • Create investment risk assessment profiles aligned with clients’ risk tolerance
  • Demonstrate the value of employer-plan benefits and assist with payroll deduction setups, lump-sum contributions, and asset consolidation
  • Achieve service and sales targets while strengthening client relationships

Requirements

  • Valid and active Life Insurance License (LLQP)
  • Experience with selling and supporting clients with investment, savings products
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and relationships with clients over the phone or video conferencing
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions to understand needs
  • Possess an owner’s mindset in order to build strong client experiences and loyalty, while contributing within a fast-paced evolving team
  • Ability to be agile and effectively manage changing priorities or processes
  • Self motivated and have the ability to work independently
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) - asset
  • Canadian Investment Fund Course (IFIC) - asset
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or Financial planner designation (IQPF) - asset
  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only
