About the role

Planning & Reporting Analyst overseeing $14B in expenditures at Sun Life. Collaborating with Business Group partners to provide actionable financial insights and reporting.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business Group partners to develop consolidated expense reporting variance analysis and actionable insights to senior leaders
Coordinate key expense components of the annual Strategic Plan and Business Plan deliverables, including budgeting and forecasting activities
Execute on our digitization and automation expense priorities, leveraging technical capabilities and a continuous improvement mindset
Lead ad-hoc requests from senior leadership and multiple stakeholders, delivering complete, well-supported analysis with strong ownership and a high sense of urgency
Build strong relationships with Corporate and Business Group partners

2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, planning & reporting, or expense management within a global organization
2+ years of experience analyzing financial and operational data, drawing sound conclusions and making informed recommendations that drive business decisions
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
Attention to detail to ensure accurate internal and external reporting
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information at the executive level in a compelling, succinct and diplomatic manner
Ability to manage through complexity and ambiguity with a ‘can-do’ attitude and ownership mindset
Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
