About the role
- Planning & Reporting Analyst overseeing $14B in expenditures at Sun Life. Collaborating with Business Group partners to provide actionable financial insights and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Group partners to develop consolidated expense reporting variance analysis and actionable insights to senior leaders
- Coordinate key expense components of the annual Strategic Plan and Business Plan deliverables, including budgeting and forecasting activities
- Execute on our digitization and automation expense priorities, leveraging technical capabilities and a continuous improvement mindset
- Lead ad-hoc requests from senior leadership and multiple stakeholders, delivering complete, well-supported analysis with strong ownership and a high sense of urgency
- Build strong relationships with Corporate and Business Group partners
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, planning & reporting, or expense management within a global organization
- 2+ years of experience analyzing financial and operational data, drawing sound conclusions and making informed recommendations that drive business decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate internal and external reporting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information at the executive level in a compelling, succinct and diplomatic manner
- Ability to manage through complexity and ambiguity with a ‘can-do’ attitude and ownership mindset
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
