About the role

  • HR systems analyst optimizing Workday HCM and HRIS operations for Sun Life, a global financial security and health company. Supporting data integrity, compliance, enhancements, and stakeholder training.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, support, and optimize the organization’s Human Capital Management system and other HR Information Systems
  • Deliver HR system capabilities from idea to implementation while working with stakeholders
  • Manage and track HR system service and product enhancement requests and incidents through Jira or another ticketing system
  • Resolve HR technology issues through troubleshooting and system support
  • Partner with HR and business teams to identify process improvements and system enhancements
  • Maintain data integrity through audits, testing, and system updates
  • Partner on or support cyclical HR processes including talent management, compensation planning, and benefits administration
  • Document processes, create training materials, and host user training sessions
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors on system upgrades, releases, patches, and implementations
  • Ensure HR data security and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Monitor HR technology trends and best practices and recommend enhancements
  • Work within the HRDS team and partner with HR, IT, payroll, benefits, and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Workday systems configuration in one or more Workday modules
  • Familiarity with ticket management tools such as Jira or ServiceNow
  • Understanding of data governance, operating guidelines, and quality engineering best practices
  • Experience or ability to adapt and learn agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and planning initiatives
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate-level Excel proficiency
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments
