Enterprise banking client seeks a Prompt Engineer with Capital Markets/Commercial Banking experience and GenAI expertise. 6 - month contract, hybrid in Toronto, start November 2026.

Responsibilities
- Shape and execute the strategic vision for enterprise data, analytics, and AI shared capabilities
- Lead engineering and delivery of global Data and AI capabilities with IT and Data Leaders
- Design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale data and AI platforms
- Drive a unified global data platform architecture with consistent accessibility, interoperability, and governance standards
- Expand enterprise data products and self-service capabilities to accelerate time-to-insight
- Define, build, and scale enterprise agentic AI platform infrastructure, including control planes, orchestration layers, model registries, and inference pipelines
- Architect and evolve the agentic control plane for agent lifecycle management, governance, observability, and safe orchestration
- Establish standards and guardrails for responsible agentic AI use
- Identify high-value AI and agentic use cases and move solutions from experimentation to production
- Define and socialize Data Governance policies, practices, and capabilities
- Optimize data processes and workflows using automation, agentic AI, and emerging technologies
- Collaborate globally with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Manage budgets, resources, and costs for data engineering, analytics, and AI platform investments
- Assess emerging data technologies, agentic AI architectures, and industry trends
- Introduce innovative technologies and methodologies
- Foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
- Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing team
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
- 10+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data, analytics, and AI platforms, preferably within the financial industry
- Strong expertise in Data Governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience building and scaling agentic AI platforms, including agentic control planes, agent orchestration, and enterprise AI infrastructure
- Experience managing budgets, resources, and project timelines for large-scale data and AI initiatives
- In-depth knowledge of data lakes, data mesh, data warehousing, ETL pipelines, cloud-based solutions such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, modern AI/ML frameworks, and agent architectures
- Track record of introducing innovative technologies and driving data-driven and AI-powered transformation
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable presenting to C-level executives
- Ability to engage, lead, and influence across all organizational levels
- Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix-like environment
- Ability to work independently and take initiative within a structured organization
