About the role

  • Supply Planner optimizing inventory, forecasting demand, and managing suppliers for SUNPAN, a global trade-only furniture brand. Supporting efficient fulfillment across commercial and residential furnishings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing inventory planning strategies to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Analyze sales forecasts, lead times, seasonality, market trends, historical data, and customer demand patterns
  • Monitor and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely placement, delivery, and inventory availability
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details, track shipments, and resolve supply-related issues and discrepancies
  • Conduct regular inventory analysis and identify slow-moving or obsolete items
  • Propose action plans for inventory optimization
  • Generate KPI, inventory metrics, and supply chain performance reports with recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, sales, marketing, and customer service teams
  • Identify process enhancements and contribute to continuous improvement of supply chain processes and systems
  • Attend evening calls once or twice per week with North American stakeholders
  • Conduct occasional factory visits for operational oversight and relationship management

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Economics or equivalent
  • 2+ years of progressive Supply Planner or related experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory management, and demand forecasting is a plus
  • Self-motivated and proactive mindset; ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset
  • Ability to attend evening calls once or twice per week
  • Willingness to conduct occasional factory visits
