About the role

  • Head of Data at Progress Partners Limited leading analytics for consumer products. Building data infrastructure and driving strategic decisions through analytics in a remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Stack: Build and maintain the full analytics infrastructure, including product analytics tools (Mixpanel/GA4/Amplitude), BI tooling, and analytical data models.
  • Define Success: Own the KPI framework across the organization, enforcing metric discipline and eliminating ambiguity in how we measure performance.
  • Marketing & Attribution: Bridge the gap between ad platform data (Google/Meta) and actual billing/product outcomes to build sophisticated ROI and attribution models.
  • Product Insights: Drive product strategy through deep-dive funnel analysis, cohort segmentation, and retention curve modeling.
  • Executive Decision Support: Create and maintain high-level dashboards that don't just report numbers but provide actionable recommendations to the Founders and Executive team.
  • Build the Team: Transition from a "hands-on" builder to a leader by hiring and mentoring analysts.

Requirements

  • 7+ Years in Data Analytics: Proven track record in a data-heavy environment, specifically within SaaS or subscription-based models.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced SQL skills and the ability to personally build scalable data models and dashboards.
  • Product Analytics Expertise: Deep experience with user behavior tracking, activation funnels, and retention analysis.
  • Marketing Analytics: Solid understanding of attribution modeling and performance marketing workflows.
  • Strategic Leadership: Experience leading or mentoring analysts, with the confidence to challenge stakeholders and push for data integrity.
