About the role

  • Collateral management analyst mitigating counterparty credit risk for TD Securities, a global financial institution. Monitoring portfolios, managing collateral calls, resolving disputes, and improving controls.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor client portfolios daily
  • Issue and receive collateral calls to mitigate the firm’s credit risk
  • Enter margin tickets accurately into the collateral system
  • Interact extensively with clients
  • Conduct process reviews in accordance with Global Short-term Markets Policy
  • Resolve and escalate collateral issues
  • Reconcile repo collateral statements upon margining disputes
  • Contribute ideas to add value to the group
  • Stay abreast of capital-markets risk issues and assess impacts on exposures
  • Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and reduce operational risk through process reengineering
  • Perform control functions to ensure process integrity
  • Promote a respectful work environment and adhere to Bank policies and guidelines

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive approach to risk mitigation
  • Ability to monitor and manage counterparty credit risk
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and risks and implement improvements
  • Knowledge of derivative and security products, legal agreements, technology flows, and regulations
  • Ability to interact with clients and cross-functional areas including credit, middle office, legal, front office, settlements, and corporate treasury
  • Ability to perform control functions and ensure process integrity
  • Ability to comply with Global Short-term Markets Policy and Bank policies and guidelines
