About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver regulatory initiatives as a Team Manager
  • Lead diverse stakeholders and adapt communication style to different audiences
  • Analyze impacts to customers, stakeholders, employees, processes, and technology solutions
  • Clarify work packages, constraints, and project outcomes
  • Lead and own project deliverables related to business requirements
  • Apply change management best practices, including stakeholder analysis, gap analysis, and change planning
  • Collaborate with project managers and business sponsors to assign project resources
  • Lead requirements management for projects based on complexity, size, and budget
  • Define business needs, problem statements, and potential solutions
  • Identify scope changes and analyze their impact on project benefits and risks
  • Plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and manage business requirements
  • Document and validate current-state processes and design desired future states
  • Maintain requirements traceability and prioritize requirements and scope changes
  • Track requirements risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints
  • Support quality assurance, test script development, solution testing, and issue resolution
  • Follow enterprise project governance controls and compliance standards
  • Manage work packages for operational readiness, deadlines, and changing priorities
  • Communicate progress and escalate issues to project managers, partners, and managers
  • Support implementation and post-implementation activities
  • Forecast, define, and manage requirements effort, cost, and timelines
  • Support vendor RFIs and RFPs when required
  • Contribute to seed funding requests by articulating scope, benefits, and risks
  • Ensure accuracy of business requirements documentation
  • Analyze requirement change requests and their impact on the original business need
  • Deliver detailed requirements supporting downstream estimates and business cases
  • Mentor junior and peer Business Analysts and contribute to team capability development
  • Provide business analysis guidance and advice to business partners and project teams
  • Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with business, stakeholder, and technology partners
  • Facilitate stakeholder agreement and consensus on business requirements
  • Prioritize workload and capacity to meet project milestones
  • Maintain an individual development plan and enhance business analysis capabilities
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and participate in team meetings and recognition programs

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory bodies such as OSC, CFTC, EMIR, MAS, LOPR, MIFID, SFTR, IIROC, CAT, FINRA, and SEC
  • Strong aptitude in data analytics and visualization
  • Proficiency with Python, Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau
  • Proficiency with data mining and statistical analysis
  • Ability to analyze data for trends and patterns
  • Ability to translate complex business and operational processes into coherent visual process maps
  • Sound to advanced knowledge of business analysis and project delivery practices and standards across the project life-cycle
  • Understanding of business and user interaction with technology throughout project delivery
  • 3-5 years related experience in project management is an asset
  • Experience with Capital Markets and Trade Lifecycle is an asset
  • Knowledge of Financial Instruments and Products is an asset
  • Prior experience with regulatory reporting is required/preferred by the role description
  • Experience with Excel, Visio, Project Plan, and PowerPoint
  • Alteryx, Python, SQL, Java, and Tableau knowledge is a strong asset
  • Business Analysis Accreditation is an asset
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Statistics, Data Analytics, or Economics is an asset
