About the role

  • Lead TELUS's Performance Observability Platforms team, providing real-time network visibility. Oversee data pipeline architecture and ensure operational excellence to enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Performance Observability Platforms team
  • Provide real-time network visibility across mobile and fixed (wired) infrastructures
  • Responsible for test monitoring strategy and the data pipeline architecture
  • Transform our architecture toward a virtualized, cloud-native architecture
  • Ensure operational excellence and data integrity
  • Prevent network issues before they impact customers

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage change in complex environments
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing technical teams
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing 24/7 operational environments
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage a platform roadmap and lead multiyear transformation initiatives
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating complex contracts
  • Ability to treat the verification/testing platform as a product serving internal customers
  • Ability to leverage AI-driven automation and predictive intelligence to prevent network outages
  • Hands-on experience with packet capture, XDR generation, and protocol decoding
  • Knowledge of 4G and 5G network protocols
  • Familiarity with network function virtualization (NFV), Kubernetes, and cloud-native architecture
  • Proficiency in AI operations (AIOps) and machine learning
  • Experience integrating data lakes and analytics platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in English is required.
