About the role

  • Payments & Data Analyst at Traction Rec serving as centralized resource for payments operations and reporting. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payments, data, and reporting requests across all teams and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Own Salesforce reporting and data extraction across KPI, notably around customer usage, revenue, and payments performance.
  • Pull, analyze, and reconcile data from multiple sources, including Salesforce, payment processors, and finance systems.
  • Build, maintain, and improve recurring and ad hoc reports using Salesforce and other analytics tools
  • Track and analyze key business metrics such as ARR, churn, expansion average, customer lifecycle, product adoption, transaction success rates, fees, chargebacks, and payout timing.
  • Support the payments function with operational reporting, analytics, and insights to help monitor performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor payment workflows and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Support Finance, Sales Operations, and Customer teams with data for planning forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Provide accurate, timely metrics and insights for executive and Board level reporting.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to communicate payments, revenue, and customer insights to internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and operational visibility across payments and customer data.
  • Translate complex payments and operational data into clear, actionable insights through dashboards, visualizations, and executive ready summaries for stakeholders across the organization
  • Participate in customer and external partner discussions, as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a payments, SaaS operations, analytics, or business analysis role
  • Hands on experience working with payment data, transaction reporting, or payment platforms
  • Strong experience working with Salesforce, including reporting and data extraction
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Solid business and financial acumen with the ability to connect data to revenue, margin and operational outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, professional communication skills and comfort working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience supporting finance, sales operations, customer teams, or payments function is a plus.
