About the role
- Front End UI/UX Developer role creating scalable and user-focused Angular applications. Collaborate with design, backend, and QA teams in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of responsive, accessible, and scalable front-end applications
- Translate UX designs, wireframes, user stories, and business requirements into functional UI solutions
- Define and maintain front-end architecture, coding standards, and development best practices
- Build and maintain reusable UI components and shared front-end libraries
- Contribute to the development and evolution of design systems
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and backend services
- Collaborate with backend teams to ensure efficient data flow and system integration
- Work closely with product and design teams to refine user journeys and application workflows
- Ensure consistent application performance, usability, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning, estimation, and delivery
- Support testing, release readiness, and defect resolution activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of front-end development practices and tooling
- Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining code quality and delivery standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in front-end web application development
- Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably Angular (React also considered)
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience building scalable front-end architectures and reusable component libraries
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous data flows
- Experience working with backend systems, preferably .NET-based environments
- Knowledge of state management approaches such as NgRx or RxJS patterns
- Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders on UI design and prototyping
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment
- Experience in financial services, including lending, banking, or capital markets is considered an asset
- Experience working in regulated environments with exposure to compliance, risk, or audit considerations is considered an asset
