About the role
- Technical Writer documenting vCluster Labs’ Kubernetes tenant-isolation and AI infrastructure platform. Verifying procedures through hands-on tenant-cluster testing and collaborating with engineers.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain conceptual, how-to, and reference documentation for vCluster, vCluster Platform, vMetal, and related tenant-isolation concepts
- Stand up tenant clusters to verify procedures
- Capture screenshots and confirm CLI output before publishing
- Work from projects, tickets, and design documents
- Collaborate with engineers to address documentation gaps identified by support and sales
- Contribute to product information architecture, naming conventions, hierarchy, and concept organization across the documentation site
- Review and edit documentation for consistency with terminology and the style guide
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals, including pods, namespaces, and control planes
- Comfort using a terminal and running commands such as kubectl and helm
- 2+ years of technical writing experience
- Demonstrated prior experience of strong technical writing
- Familiarity with ticket trackers such as GitHub Issues, Jira, Linear, or similar
- Experience with async collaboration with engineers on a global team
- Familiarity with automated style/lint enforcement such as Vale
- Familiarity with versioned documentation workflows
- Comfortable and excited to use AI in the writing workflow
- Prior experience with container orchestration, platform engineering, or infrastructure tooling is a bonus
- Experience with Docusaurus, MDX, or similar is a bonus
- Experience working in a high-growth environment is a bonus
- Portfolio or writing samples link required
