About the role

Technical Editor/Writer supporting Verra’s carbon-market methodologies and technical documents. Ensuring accurate, consistent, concise, user-friendly standards for climate and sustainable-development programs.

Responsibilities

Provide technical editing support during the development of methodologies and other technical documents in the VCS Program
Edit documents accurately for technical content and copy, using tracked changes and comments
Ensure internal consistency across edited documents in technical concepts and writing voice
Revise text to conform to Verra style, including proper use of US English
Facilitate user-friendly comprehension of technical concepts
Suggest improvements to documents where relevant
Collaborate with experts across the program development and innovation team
Help ensure methodologies, program documents, and other technical documents are accurate, concise, and user-friendly
Work on technical documents in other Verra programs as required

Technical content and language editing experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience communicating technical information to a wide range of stakeholders
Strong science background
Technical expertise in an area related to Verra programs
Excellent attention to detail
Degree in a relevant field
Native English proficiency
Ability to work remotely with regular computer-based work and virtual meetings
Reliable internet access
Ability to communicate effectively with Verra stakeholders during agreed working hours
Access to the equipment, workspace, and internet connectivity needed to deliver the agreed services
Significant overlap with US business hours
