Content Designer contract until Oct 31 at Top 5 Bank. 3 days/week onsite in Toronto. Rate up to $70/hr + HST.
About the role
- Product Designer in UX with Vivid Solutions, enhancing user experiences for BC Government. Joining a design team to foster human-centered design practices through Agile projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end experience journey of a product, from initial problem discovery through to end delivery for the client.
- Apply user experience and interaction design principles, collaboratively develop research-driven low and high-fidelity wireframes/prototypes for new and/or existing digital products/services - primarily web applications with complex business processes.
- Plan, conduct, summarize, and communicate quantitative and qualitative user research.
- Develop visual communications and infographics including presentation materials, service blueprints, user journey maps, and a wide breadth of other user experience design artifacts.
- Advocate for users’ needs in the prioritization and design of systems within an Agile environment.
- Iteratively improve upon wireframes and prototypes based on feedback received from testing, user reviews, and the technical development team.
- Planning and facilitation of workshops, seminars, and presentations (digital and in-person).
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in User Experience Design
- Experience in a design role for the public sector considered an asset
- 3+ years of experience with Wireframing /Prototyping Software (i.e. Figma, Adobe XD)
- 1+ years of experience on an Agile software development team in a design capacity
- A strong portfolio that clearly demonstrates strengths in UI/UX, research and prototyping skills.
- Experience managing multiple client relationships with varying responsibilities, scope, and deadlines
- Fluency in combining organizational goals and strategic direction with user research to design interactive wireframes, prototypes, and journey maps.
- Experience developing and executing co-design, ideation and planning workshops.
