About the role

  • Retirement actuarial analyst supporting WTW’s consulting team with pension valuations, modelling, and retirement program design. Developing actuarial expertise through client assignments and paid exam support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide retirement consulting expertise to help global organizations optimize employee retirement programs
  • Support consultants with technical actuarial and consulting work
  • Design, fund, price, implement, and manage retirement programs
  • Perform competitive benchmarking analyses of benefit plan designs
  • Perform asset/liability modelling
  • Conduct actuarial pension valuations for a variety of clients
  • Manipulate and analyze data
  • Determine plan liabilities and funding requirements
  • Reconcile plan assets
  • Assist with plan reporting and filing requirements
  • Complete benefit calculations
  • Review plan documents
  • Produce benefit statements
  • Work with associates at all levels within the local practice
  • Participate in client assignments and meetings
  • Work toward becoming a credentialed actuary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or another major with significant quantitative coursework
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Work experience demonstrating strong technical and/or client service skills
  • Analyst-type internship preferred
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Graduation with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree between May 2026 and June 2027
