About the role

  • Retirement actuarial analyst supporting WTW’s pension and benefits consulting clients. Performing valuations, asset/liability modelling, funding analysis, and retirement plan administration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide actuarial support on retirement consulting projects with consultants
  • Design, fund, price, implement, and manage retirement programs
  • Perform competitive benchmarking analysis of benefit plan designs
  • Support corporate restructuring and capital enhancement initiatives, including demutualization, securitization, and mergers and acquisitions
  • Work with associates at all levels within the local practice
  • Perform asset/liability modelling
  • Perform annual pension and post-retirement medical valuations for various clients
  • Manipulate and analyze data
  • Determine plan liabilities and funding requirements
  • Reconcile plan assets
  • Assist with plan reporting and filing requirements
  • Perform plan administration tasks, including benefit calculations, reviewing plan documents and SPDs, and producing benefit statements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or another major with significant quantitative coursework
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred
  • Work experience demonstrating strong technical and/or client service skills
  • Ability to solve problems and share solutions to exceed client standards
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Completed a Summer 2026 Retirement internship with WTW
