About the role
- Hiring an Accountant Intermediate for an 8-month contract in Mississauga, ON. Responsibilities include financial reporting, lease valuation, and asset accounting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end financial close and reporting cycles, review and value leases under IFRS 16 using SAP REFX, perform fixed asset accounting with SAP AA, record and reconcile financial transactions, document SOX controls, participate in UAT for SAP enhancements, and assist with data management and ad-hoc reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong hands-on experience with SAP mandatory. In-depth knowledge of IFRS 16. Advanced Excel proficiency. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Nice to have: project-based experience, data migration or UAT experience.
