About the role
- Business Intelligence Analyst – Intermediate contract with the Government of Alberta in Edmonton. Requires 5+ years of Power BI and SQL experience.
Responsibilities
- The Business Intelligence Analyst will translate business requirements into analytical solutions, design and develop Power BI solutions, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities include optimizing Power BI solutions, testing data accuracy, developing complex DAX measures, implementing Power BI Service features, analyzing large datasets for trend analysis and predictive analytics, and presenting insights to executives.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Computer Science or related field. 5 years of experience translating business requirements into BI solutions. 5 years designing and optimizing Power BI solutions. 4 years testing data accuracy. 4 years with visualization techniques. 5 years developing DAX measures. 4 years implementing Power BI Service features. 5 years analyzing large datasets with Power BI and Azure. 4 years presenting to executives. 5 years SQL experience. Nice to have: 1 year with source code control for Power BI, 1 year with AI-assisted tools, 3 years with Synapse Analytics.
