About the role

Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations for a growing Canadian professional services organization, providing strategic insight to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly financial reporting, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, provide oversight across accounting operations (AP, AR, reconciliations, GL, controls, month-end), partner with external accounting and tax professionals, strengthen reporting processes and controls, and assess opportunities to leverage technology and automation.

8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally at Controller, Director, or VP Finance level. CPA designation required. Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, month-end, year-end, and financial controls. Demonstrated ability to present financial information to executives, Boards, partners, or senior stakeholders. Experience in professional services, consulting, advisory, legal, communications, or entrepreneurial environment preferred. Hands-on, proactive leadership style with strong business judgment. Strong technology aptitude, with interest in automation, AI, or finance transformation considered an asset.
