Responsibilities
Advise strategic Fortune 500 customers on identity, access, and security challenges
Build relationships with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and technical decision makers
Participate in executive briefings, architecture reviews, strategic workshops, and customer meetings
Provide technical leadership throughout enterprise sales cycles
Support strategic opportunities by accelerating technical alignment, reducing execution risk, and building customer confidence
Create repeatable technical plays, executive messaging, reference architectures, and playbooks
Mentor senior Solutions Engineers and elevate field technical capabilities
Partner with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Enablement leadership on technical trends and organizational investments
Develop enablement programs for emerging technologies and customer challenges
Bring customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and implementation insights to Product and Engineering leadership
Influence product roadmaps, validate emerging capabilities, and support early customer adoption
Translate market trends into product and go-to-market strategies
Speak at conferences, executive events, customer advisory boards, analyst briefings, and industry forums
Develop technical thought leadership through presentations, blogs, webinars, whitepapers, and executive content
Represent 1Password externally and strengthen its market position
Partner with executive leadership across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Go-to-Market to influence company strategy
Define the future of Solutions Engineering through mentorship and scalable engagement models
Requirements
12+ years of experience in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, consulting, solutions engineering, enterprise architecture, or technical leadership
Demonstrated success influencing executive technology leaders within Fortune 500 organizations
Deep technical expertise in identity, access management, privileged access, cloud security, developer platforms, SaaS security, or AI security
Exceptional executive communication skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes
Ability to simplify highly complex technical concepts into compelling executive narratives
Proven ability to influence enterprise architecture decisions across large, complex organizations
Experience supporting strategic enterprise sales opportunities and partnering with executive sales teams
Strong understanding of enterprise buying processes and modern sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC
Experience building technical strategies, reusable methodologies, or scalable customer engagement frameworks
Ability to influence product strategy through customer engagement and market insights
Ability to build trusted relationships across Product, Engineering, Sales, and executive leadership while influencing without direct authority
Experience speaking to diverse audiences at industry conferences, executive forums, and analyst events
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Ability and willingness to meet frequent travel requirements for customer meetings, executive engagements, conferences, and industry events
Professional experience in cybersecurity, identity and access management, privileged access management, cloud security, DevSecOps, or a closely related security domain
Experience serving in a senior, customer-facing technical role supporting large or complex enterprise organizations
Must already be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada; no work authorization, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship/transferring is offered

Annual base salary of $228,000–$342,000 USD for USA-based roles or $228,000–$342,000 CAD for Canada-based roles
