About the role

  • Payments Canada seeks an Emerging Payment Products Manager to drive complex product initiatives across the real-time payments portfolio, collaborating cross-functionally to shape Canada's payment future.

Responsibilities

  • The Emerging Payment Products Manager is a functional expert and player-coach role within the RTR Products team, responsible for driving execution and advancement of complex product initiatives across the entire RTR portfolio. This includes strategic vision and execution, overseeing the entire product lifecycle, driving early phases of product development, managing business issues and product delivery, and contributing to corporate planning. The role also involves relationship management with internal divisions, members, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, as well as mentorship and guidance to junior resources.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related discipline. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in product management, strategic business analysis, or leading end-to-end product services development, preferably in financial services. Proven experience in identifying market opportunities, developing multi-year strategies, and building scalable solutions. Strong familiarity with payments landscape, including real-time payments solutions. Exceptional communication and influencing skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Experience in developing strategic initiatives and detailed roadmaps. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and mentor individuals. Eligibility to successfully complete background checks.
