About the role

  • 6-month contract Financial Accountant role requiring financial services experience, Excel/VBA proficiency, and knowledge of general ledger applications. Hybrid work model in Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Accountant responsible for investigating accounting issues and processes, handling large volumes of data, working with loan loss provisions and insurance, and utilizing general ledger applications. Requires attention to detail and financial controls knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience with financial service institutions. Proficient in Excel (formulas, VBA, Macros) and familiarity with AI tools. Ability to investigate accounting issues and processes. Attention to details and comfortable with large volume of data. Loan loss provision and insurance experience a bonus. Understanding of General ledger applications (Peoplesoft, SAP, Oracle). Knowledge of financial controls. ACBS knowledge.
