- Infrastructure Engineer for Capital Markets Technology at a Top 5 Bank. Contract role driving EOL upgrades, modernization, and automation with hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- This role bridges business stakeholders and engineering teams while driving end-of-life (EOL) upgrades and platform modernization initiatives. Key responsibilities include EOL software upgrades (Java & system components), technical analysis, gap assessments & requirements gathering, legacy code remediation & modernization, partnering with trading/business teams and engineering groups, and automation, testing, and release support.
Requirements
- Must-Haves: 7–10+ years IT experience, SQL/PLSQL, UNIX/Linux, Shell scripting (Bash/Python/Perl), Infrastructure automation (Ansible/Puppet), Docker & system administration experience, Strong stakeholder communication skills. Nice to Have: Capital Markets / trading platform exposure, Monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus), Software currency or tech-debt modernization experience.
