About the role
- Mainframe Developer with 7+ years experience in IBM Mainframe, COBOL, DB2, IMS. Hybrid role in Toronto requiring independent design, development, and leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Mainframe Developer responsible for independently analyzing IMS Segments, creating detailed designs, leading junior developers, participating in end-to-end field mapping, developing/unit testing and deploying code. Requires deep understanding of DB2 objects and processing, with ability to work in a pod with limited mainframe experience.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience with valid Canadian visa. Tech stack: IBM Mainframe, JCL, COBOL, SQL, DB2, Deep IMS knowledge, Endever, File-AID, CA-7. Tools: INSYNC, Jira, Confluence, Service Now. AI awareness/GitHub Copilot/VSCode. Soft skills: independent learning, problem solving, adaptability. Nice to have: Kafka & RESTful APIs knowledge.
