About the role
- Platform Engineer contractor in Toronto with cloud, IaC, and CI/CD experience. Requires valid Canadian work authorization.
Responsibilities
- Platform Engineer contract role requiring hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), cloud-native services, Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager), monitoring tools, observability solutions, scripting languages (Python, Bash), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab), and incident management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). Knowledge of cloud-native services (compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring). Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager). Experience with monitoring tools. Ability to design and implement observability solutions. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash). Solid experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab). Proven experience leading incident management processes, performing root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
