About the role

Director leading Blackpoint Cyber’s cloud-based Unified Security Posture data platform for cybersecurity solutions. Driving platform roadmap, reliability, APIs, data engineering, and team growth.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the platform roadmap aligned with product and business goals
Partner across the Product organization and SRE team to ensure platform security, reliability, and scalability
Lead development of the data pipeline integrating endpoint agent and vendor data, including storage, tiered access, and query capabilities
Deliver platform services and public APIs for tenant management, identity, and role-based access control
Lead platform tooling and APIs supporting AI/ML and business intelligence initiatives
Oversee developer productivity tooling, including CI/CD systems
Define the long-term vision for the data platform through data architecture, modeling, and governance best practices
Build relationships with internal stakeholders and partners
Foster excellence in platform reliability, scalability, security, and software quality
Hire, develop, and grow platform and data engineering teams
Drive adoption of AI across the development lifecycle to increase productivity, accelerate delivery, improve software quality, and enable efficient product delivery

15+ years of experience in software development, preferably in cybersecurity
At least 5 years of people management experience leading multiple teams
Proven experience leading a Platform Engineering function at the Director level
5+ years of experience working with large-scale AWS cloud solutions
Experience with Postgres, Elastic, Redis, streaming data platforms, and ETL processes
Hands-on experience architecting and building complex data platforms and service integrations
Deep knowledge of CI/CD, production deployment at scale, and data pipeline orchestration
Demonstrated ability to drive high-impact initiatives and long-term strategic goals
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
