About the role
- Senior Azure Data Engineer needed for a 9-month contract in Toronto, ON, to build ELT pipelines and Medallion Lakehouse architectures in the Health Services Cluster.
Responsibilities
- We are looking for a Senior Software Developer (ETL) to join a mission-critical project within the Health Services Cluster in Toronto. You will build robust, scalable ELT pipelines and work with massive health data sets using the Azure ecosystem and Medallion Architecture.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience with enterprise-level application design and data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas). Expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and automating complex ETL/ELT pipelines. Hands-on mastery of Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Live Tables) and implementing Medallion Data Lakehouse architectures. Proven experience with CI/CD automation (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) for data pipelines. Deep familiarity with ADLS, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Event Hubs, and Azure Functions. Strong data governance skills using Unity Catalog.
