About the role
- SRE – Email Infrastructure (Exchange) for an initial 12-month contract, hybrid work arrangement (1 day remote, 4 days onsite in Burnaby, BC).
Responsibilities
- Core Responsibilities include: – Supporting and operating hybrid Exchange environments (On-prem + O365 carve-outs) – Managing Exchange DAGs, High Availability, mail flow, and troubleshooting – Ensuring email security and protocols (SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) – Participating in on-call rotation – Collaborating closely with Email Ops and SRE teams – Maintaining strong documentation and operational discipline
Requirements
- Must-Have Skills: – Hands-on Microsoft Exchange experience (on-prem required) – Experience with Exchange DAGs and High Availability – Proficiency in email protocols and mail flow troubleshooting – Comfort working in production and on-call environments – Clear communication and documentation habits Nice-to-Have Skills: – Experience with hybrid Exchange (Exchange Online + On-Prem) – Exposure to Linux – Familiarity with Fortinet tools (FortiMail / FortiGate) – Skills in automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) – Public cloud exposure (Azure / AWS / GCP)
