About the role
- Lead the architecture and delivery of scalable data platforms using Azure and Databricks. 12-month contract, hybrid in Oshawa, ON.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable ELT/ETL pipelines. Build and optimize modern data lakehouse solutions. Design real-time, streaming, and batch data systems. Develop business-centric data models (star, snowflake, SCDs). Champion best practices in data governance, security, and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data products.
Requirements
- 8+ years in data engineering / architecture. Strong experience with Azure + Databricks ecosystems. Deep expertise in data modeling & warehouse design. Proven experience with streaming / event-driven architectures and large-scale data pipelines (structured & unstructured). Ability to lead, influence, and drive technical excellence.
