About the role
- Technical Lead Engineer (NodeJS) needed for hybrid contract in Toronto. Lead development, mentor team, and drive architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of high quality, maintainable, and well-tested code. Develop front-end UI components using TypeScript and React. Design and implement RESTful API endpoints using TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js. Review and approve code contributions, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices. Guide the team in building reusable code and libraries. Ensure software security requirements are implemented. Define and drive the technical roadmap for front-end and API architecture. Design reusable and scalable React components and API endpoints. Lead design sessions with Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers. Drive technical design decisions and propose architectural changes. Anticipate and mitigate technical blockers. Coach and mentor junior and mid-level developers. Ensure code quality through effective testing strategies. Resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. Assume an on-call role to address critical customer issues and server alerts. Advocate for continuous learning and improvement across the team.
