About the role
- Technical Proofreading Specialist responsible for proofreading technical reports and ensuring accuracy in data for engineering and insurance purposes. Collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality reports for claims analysis.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate detailed engineering and insurance-related reports
- Proofread and edit technical reports for grammar, clarity, and consistency
- Review numerical data, calculations, and engineering-related details for accuracy
- Cross-check information between reports, supporting documents, and spreadsheets
- Work with Excel and Microsoft Office tools to validate data and formatting
- Ensure reports meet company standards and client expectations
- Flag discrepancies, inconsistencies, or missing information for correction
- Work collaboratively with others to communicate discrepancies
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Excellent written English communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience reviewing technical, engineering, or data-heavy documents is preferred
- Background in engineering, science, math, or technical fields is a plus
- ESL teaching or similar experience is a plus (strong grammar foundation)
